How to use BeadCreator
|
|
Import an image into the software. The image can be a digital photograph, scanned into the computer, or a stock photo image. The only requirement is that it be RGB and either JPEG, TIF or BMP. The image we are using for this example is a stock photo image.
Below our image is shown as a preview of what the final bead design will be. For this example, we're using the Loom Setting. We can also choose Peyote, 2-Drop Peyote or Brick if we wanted. Note the Bead Settings, which help you to determine the size of the bead to be used, the width spacing, and the final image dimensions. Since not all beads are the same size, you can put your own custom measurements of the beads into the height and width sizes of beads. We have also converted the image using the Error Diffusion method, which allows you to have more natural gradation and color blends between beads.
Below is the same image, except that this time we used the Nearest Color setting. Notice the larger areas of solid colors. We also have a Bead Setting of 11, which is an 11:1 ratio for beads. This design uses 2,340 beads. Based on the 11/0 bead size used, the size of this design is approximately 2.5" x 3.5". We can change the size ratio by typing in another number, as is shown in the next image.
Below is the same image, but this time the Bead Setting is at a 15:1 ratio. For beading, we would only need 1254 beads (a very small design). Once we've decided on the final bead size, we'll take a look at the shopping list needed to buy the beads.
Unique to BeadCreator is the ability to edit individual bead colors, or to even start from a blank canvas and build your design. Picture below is the Edit Bead window.
Based upon the original image which needed 2,340 beads, we can print a "shopping list" of the beads needed for the project. BeadCreator prints a list of tiles as well as the manufacturer's code for ordering beads. Take the list, go to your favorite bead supplier, and pick up the colors you need. You can also turn colors on and off; and enter a price per bead to determine the cost to create your design.
BeadCreator gives you two options for creating your design, with either a Loom Chart or a Word Chart. You can also export your bead design, shopping list, word chart and loom chart to an Acrobat PDF file if you wanted to sell your pattern or design.
BeadCreatorPro retails for $79.95 and can be purchased online here or at one of our retailers. It can be used with any bead palette, shipped with the software, and new palettes are available for downloading from our registered users site.
Since our first day in 2001 when we started with BeadCreator 1.0, we have been creating software that helps beaders create beautiful designs. Over the years, we have received emails from beaders telling us what a blessing our software has been to them. There's a reason we have the best-selling bead software on the market. Place an order with one of our retailers and you'll find out why...
